Welcome to Achievement, TX! ⭐️
Do you like the state of Texas? Are you interested in understanding what makes someone or a business successful? Are you curious why the state of Texas is itself so successful? (I don’t mean to brag, but it is!) Is it a combination of the above? Then please read on.
This project finds its origin in two interests of mine: my passion for successful businesses, heroic entrepreneurs and achievers in all areas of life—and achievement in general—and my love for the state of Texas.
Texas is of course a place that attracts a lot of businesses—for economic reasons but not only. From Fortune 500 companies moving their headquarters here to innovative and successful local businesses, what makes Texas such a great place to achieve success?
In Achievement, TX, I will explore the history of Texas successes—personal and business stories of achievement—what it is that these successes and achievements have in common, and what the state of Texas and its culture bring to the table. I will also look at the history of Texas, what the men and women who built the state needed to succeed, and how and why it is a unique state today.
What makes Texas, Texas—and by extension Texans, Texans?
One great American tradition has been to strive to understand how you can get better—reach a better yourself and get better at what you are doing. This publication follows this tradition by looking at what makes Texas such a success—or what makes Texas, Texas.
Achievement, TX, also aims to celebrate success and achievement—and fight against a very un-American trend of “hating the good for being the good.” Have you ever noticed how some people resent others’ success? Texas itself is being vilified for being proud of its success. In an era when we are bombarded by heresies such as telling achievers “you didn’t build that,” we will instead be celebrating the good and giving it the credit it deserves.
Achievement, TX, celebrates achievers and gives them the recognition and credit they deserve.
I have ambitious goals for Achievement, TX, and I expect to learn a lot along the way, too. I invite you to join me on this journey.
Whether you like it or not, Texas has been extremely successful in many aspects over the centuries. If you think it is both 1) incredibly interesting to analyze success, and 2) helping you replicate it, then you are in the right place.
What to expect in terms of posting schedule?
For now, the plan is to post once a week, usually on Tuesday—unless some anniversary or event falls on another day that week.
Then once a month, usually the last Sunday, you’ll get a more in-depth analysis of a Texas success/achievement.
So, are you in?
Let’s get to work!
